Simplify product compliance cross border

For your Extended Product Responsibility

Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is an environmental policy that makes the party who first places a product subject to EPR requirements in the country (also known as “Producer” for EPR) responsible for the entire life cycle of the products that they introduce on the market, from their design until the end of life (including waste collection and take-back). Under EPR regulations, the liable entities must mitigate the environmental impacts of their products throughout the entire product life cycle.

You can be considered as a ‘Producer’ if any of the below options apply to you:

if you manufacture a product subject to EPR requirements in the country, and/or
if you import a product subject to EPR requirements into the country, and/or
if you sell a product subject to EPR requirements in the country and you are not established in that country.

For e-commerce traders and manufacturers outside the EU and UK

EPREL

The product database for more transparency

From 1 January 2019, suppliers (manufacturers, importers or authorised representatives) have to upload information about their products into the European product database for energy labelling (EPREL) before placing these products on the European market. Consumers will be able to search the database for energy labels and product information sheets as of March 2021 for the first rescaled product categories.
